Like any great tourist town, Courtown has many great pubs.
The Taravie Hotel is located less than 1 minute from the sea and offers an extensive menu, in pleasant surroundings and good service. The Taravie also has a great Children’s Menu.

A popular pub located on the left hand side as you enter the main street of the village. The 19th is owned by the Redmond Family and is now being managed by two of the Chambers brothers. Mark & Darren run a good pub and have kept the atmosphere of an old world style pub during the modern times of duke boxes and sound systems
The pub has a long bar with sitting area at the end and also has “Matt’s Parlor” lounge, a small sitting room converted into a lounge that was the home of one of the previous managers of the bar.
The pub is also the home of the famous “Wales or Bust” canoe, Ask about it when you get there!
Music is part of the pubs entertainment, but its usually more subtle with a one man and his guitar style so is a good spot if you do need to hear the conversation !

Located in Riverchapel Jimmyz bar does simply delicious bar food that is reasonably priced. Using the same chef as the hugely popular Loft Restaurant which is located upstairs, Jimmyz is an ideal place to dine.
